Isabella Puppy Update

As many of you know Isabella puppy has Kidney disease. Prayers are still needed of course, but her vet has given us a positive report!

While Isabella puppy is ill and will not recover, her vet said depending on her ability to lose weight and the kidney deterioration, Isabella will be with us for a few months to a few years... Bella has already lost 2 pounds!! Her vet has provided her several medications to help bring down her blood pressure, stabilize her kidney function, and hopes and prayers she will be with us for some time.

Thank you again for all of your prayers!!

Puppy Hugs

I'm sure all of us dog luuuuvers can agree, when we need a hug our four legged friends know it before we do!

It was a quiet night at home and I was kind of feeling punky... Watching TV and I felt someone looking at me.... Sure enough Isabella was giving me the BIGGEST hug with here eyes... So BIG I even had a second to grab a photo!

This hug did just the trick!!

What a dog!

The Pups Have Moved

Oh my goodness, it has been so long since I have posted!

We have moved... the dogs are finally settled. New neighbor puppies and lots of new smells!! WOOO WHOOO! Boy are the puppies happy! They now have three times the back yard, lots of lush grass to play on, and a nice sunny deck to lounge in... what a life they lead. It was not all rosey at first though, that's for certain. When we first moved the puppy anxiety was high. All were not sleeping well, not eating and really were not interested in play time at all. Much has changed and Isabella is ruling the roost like the good old days. :).... yeah, there she is... HAHAHA~

As for Edward.... oh, once settled he got a bath. Here he is showing off his fluffy winter hair-do! lol

Until next time~ e

David and His New Doggie Hair-do

David got his hair cut by yours truly this last week. Yup, Mr. I hate being groomed is getting pretty good at it now! I have been grooming him at least once a month to try and get him used to the formal routine. Out of standing still, laying down, head up, head down, the two he still has not learned no matter how hard and how often I have tried: Getting up on the grooming table and shying from the dryer.

Here is David's "Mom, why did you have to go and do this groomie thing again?!" look:

And, his "I feel so good and comfy and happy and I want to lick the camera and get as close as I can" look:

And his "No, you don't ever groom me again" look:

I will go easy on the youngster. David is two years old. We have had him for one of those two years. I do think for the abandoned boy who I willingly took in well over a year ago he is doing great! I think once he associates peace and pamperedness enough he will finally jump on that table. Lord God Almighty knows he can leap for a frisbie.... though he rarely can catch it. LOL!

With all these grooming comes some short hair, being a poodle I hope he gets used to the clipping, scissors, and hair dryer :) One thing I do know is that after David gets his groom job done he feels mighty  zesty.

Time For Bed Says The Dog

I don't know about you and your dogs, if you have any, but besides play time and an occational spurt of energy my dogs can be real lazy. I don't know how they can lay around so much. When it comes to bed time the dogs in this house call the shots. Yet again Isabella is happily asleep on MY pillow. As for me, tonight is for the dogs!

Today is for the Dogs

What a day! It is upward 95 degreeze here in Southern California. The dogs, with an interior body temperature of 102 are relaxing like it's going out of style!

Isabella is sprawled out on the bed, Eduardo is stretched out on the cold tile, and David is by the door curled up in a ball.

These pooches are so spoiled I put ice in their waterbowl and favs them a refrigerated bone-- now can someone go get me an icecream?? Lol!

We will try to enjoy the fall if summer would bud out! Hope where you are is cool and if not you are taking time and refuge away from the heat and finding an oasis of cool at the mall, in your home, or poolside! Enjoy this beautiful Sunday!

Erin & the dogs ;)
